Expansion
Expanding to new schools
The process to establish a Latina-oriented Sorority Colony at a University or College is often intimidating and sometimes confusing. Gamma Phi Omega International Sorority, Inc. strives to make it as simple and steady a process as possible by combining our experience and guidance with your determination.
There are a number of steps involved in establishing a Colony. The process can be time-consuming, but the opportunity to begin a new legacy at your school is worth the effort. Some of the steps include, but are not limited to:
- Completing the online expansion interest form. Our Expansion Director will review your information and contact you.
- Contacting your school’s Greek Life or Student Organizations Office to notify them of your desire to bring a new Sorority to campus.
- Notifying our Expansion Director of what steps need to be completed for official expansion and recognition on your campus.
- Speaking with other women on your campus to increase awareness and interest in the Sorority.
- Completing the steps necessary by our organization to establish a core group and begin the intake process.
As you work to become a potential Noble Founder and establish a Colony, our Expansion Director will guide you through all the steps involved. Please contact her at expansion@gammaphiomega.org with questions or to request additional information.
